Link 2 Nature began its development in January 2012, and much of the initial work was focussed on engaging with the partners to understand how and what benefits Link 2 Nature can offer. It is crucial that Link 2 Nature develops through a partnership approach and remains focussed on identifying shared priorities and objectives that will deliver benefits for the natural environment. Link 2 Nature launched on Wednesday 6th March 2013 after nearly a year of consultation and development.
One of the ways that Link 2 Nature can deliver benefits and achieve more effective partnership working is through Working Groups. Due to the preliminary stages of these Working Groups the following updates will be brief. However as the partnership builds momentum please check the website as more updates and information will be available.
Executive Working Group
This Working Group has been developed to directly support the Link 2 Nature Board and Coordinator. At present the Group consists of representatives from:
Wiltshire Wildlife Trust
Swindon Borough Council
The AONBs- Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty

To date the Group has helped to develop the Terms of Reference and the Strategic Plan for the partnership. It has also contributed to the development of The Environmental Investment Prospectus: Investing in Nature, which is nearing completion and will be added to the website shortly. The Executive Working Group has also been involved in helping to shape a vision for landscape scale conservation and NIAs in Wiltshire and Swindon, work which is also on-going.
